Mactapes is based in Copley Mill in Stalybridge on the edge of the Peak District.  The business occupies one floor of a mill that played an important role in The Industrial Revolution.  The original mill owners were modern thinkers and provided housing, schooling and health care for its employees and their families.  Part of the success of the Mill for many decades was testament to this innovation. 

On a smaller scale, Mactapes is bringing about a revolution of its own. The company is the only specialist curtain tape manufacturer in the UK and one of very few in Europe. Having developed and produced the highest quality heading tapes for many decades, our team has a unique blend of skills and by focusing our resources primarily on curtain tape, we are able to offer a focussed service, high quality and good value. 

Mactapes continues to invest in modern high technology machinery to remain effective and competitive. Our machinery includes the latest technical developments in narrow fabric and curtain tape production.  Some of this equipment has been developed for Mactapes.  Machinery though is only half the story, perhaps more importantly, Mactapes like our predecessors in the Mill, is also investing in a skilled and motivated workforce ,dedicated to making innovative and high quality products for the UK curtain making community.

From simple lining tapes and corded pocket tapes to novel roman blind tapes, improved multi-pocket, woven pocket and deep heading and decorative tapes, our emphasis is on using high quality raw materials, effective production planning and well maintained advanced technology to bring our customers the very best quality and value.

Our small overhead base and simple linear operation gives us not only a competitive structure but the ability to handle customer requests promptly and accurately.

We offer a comprehensive stock service but our specialty is to offer customers a prompt and flexible service on their own ranges of products uniquely packaged to their specifications.
